What is Circle To Sphere?

Circle To Sphere is an academic development service that strengthens the underlying skills students need to perform well in school and beyond. Instead of focusing only on subject tutoring, we build executive-function capacity such as planning, organization, focus, and self-monitoring.

What is the Radius Competencies Program?

The Radius Competencies Program is our developmental milestones program that develops cognitive and social abilities in learners aged 8 to 15. It targets core developmental competencies (executive functions) that drive academic performance in these learners. The focus is skill building for long term school and life success, not short-term grade repair.

What does Circle To Sphere teach?

In addition to providing education support for Ontario specific curriculums, we also teach transferable learning competencies like time management, organization, planning, task initiation, sustained attention, goal setting, and self-monitoring. Lesson plans are structured around long term success through skill acquisition.

What skills does the Radius program build?

The program builds executive-function systems, cognitive stamina, metacognitive awareness, and structured problem-solving habits. The group setting allows learners to practice leadership, communication, and collaboration. These competencies directly impact writing, math reasoning, abstract reasoning, test preparation, and project completion.

What makes Circle To Sphere different from traditional tutoring?

Traditional tutoring targets subject gaps with drop-in programs and teaching methods that are not different from the classroom. Circle To Sphere targets the systems that learners use to acquire knowledge and put it into practice. Instead of reteaching content alone, it develops the internal systems that allow students to manage complexity independently. The goal is to develop skills that go beyond the classroom and into domains like employment or post secondary education.

What ages does the Radius program teach?

The Radius program teaches learners aged 8 to 15 years old. This range captures upper elementary through early secondary, when executive-function demands increase sharply and skill gaps widen quickly if unaddressed. Younger learners are still obtaining foundational skills through play and guided instruction. Learners in late secondary have a more solid understanding of expectations with established skills.

What does a session with Radius look like?

Sessions are instructor-led and combines learning activities with projects. Students practice planning, time management, problem solving, group work, and concurrent reflection.
